LENT STUDIES
In Lent 2010 over seventy parishioners took part in the Big Read, reading St Luke's gospel with the aid of Bishop Tom Wright's study guide. Several of the home groups are planning to meet again in the autumn to study another book. We are very much hoping that Bishop Tom writes a guide to St Matthew’s gospel for Lent 2011.
INTRODUCTION TO CHRISTIANITY
This weekly course is suitable for enquirers who know little about Christianity, those adults who are preparing for Confirmation and long-standing church members who are looking for a 'refresher'. It is led by the Vicar and takes place at the Vicarage on Thursday evenings until July 2010. We meet at 8.00pm and end at 9.00pm for drinks.
Personality Type and Prayer
Why do you pray?
What is your Personality Type?
How could you pray?
What different kinds of Spirituality Type are there?
These are some of the questions that we are exploring in this popular course, over 8 sessions. We will have fun working out what our Personality Types are, and to which of the classic Spirituality Types we most closely relate. This will involve trying out different ways of praying, and using scripture as an inspiration for prayer. The programme will be led by the Vicar in autumn 2010.
